Thanks, Rick. The others, I've heard of. No Ross though. I looked for a stone at TJM and Marshall's yesterday, but no luck. I'm thinking Ken's Williams-Sonoma stone looks pretty good.
Hard to argue with WS....quality stuff there. Have you Googled yet ?? May find something in AlgoreVille http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1356043
Sure, I've found lots of them, but am going to try for one that's thicker. Or just buy a pizza oven. Pizza should be it's own food group!!!!
I like the pizza oven idea.........outside on your patio. Next to the grotto and the wet bar. SCH -Weet !!!
Done. Williams-Sonoma to the rescue. Thank you, Ken! It's almost 5/8" thick and should do quite nicely. My old one was approximately half that so I'll see if size matters. My earlier 3/8" measurement was at the edge...most of it is only 5/16". Tonight's menu...fresh pizza dough, homemade sauce, fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, sweet Italian sausage, green peppers, red onions and maybe some portobello mushrooms. :drool With a side of Lipitor.
If you do, pick up a Pizza Peel while you are at it. Makes taking stuff off the stone super easy. :drool
I doubt we want to know... You only own half of it. I own the other half. BTW, the stone has a lifetime warrantee. Here's the end result... :drool
When I had a round stone, I had a round pizza. Still, I admit I can't toss 'em. I stretch them with the backs of my hands. Whatever shape is fine. I can't taste the shape. At least I don't use a rolling pin!
