Finished off a tube of Gillette Fusion Intense cooling AS lotion yesterday. It was the only product I allowed to stay in my den when I came over from the dark side. With the mountian of great new products I own, I will likely never purchase a shaving product from the grocery store again.
Finished a tub of Castle Forbes Lavender cream yesterday. High end stuff, very good. However, at its price point it doesn't offer enough advantage over many far less costly creams, so I won't reorder.
I just finished a Corn Huskers bottle (replaced) and previously finished a small tube of C.O. Bigelow (replaced with large tube).
Large is 5.2 oz, small is 1.7 oz. On sale now (usually is) buy 2 get 1 (30 in product for 20) free large or 3 small for 12.00
Finished off a puck of Tabac yesterday and started on a half stick or so of Arko that's been sitting around for a bit.
I've found I get better results when I use a soap more or less exclusiely. One reason I think is the soap gets well hydrated which makes it load easier. Another is you really get to know what it likes as far as type of brush, how much water to add, etc. Those things make my shaves better so that's why I do it. But I wouldn't say I am completely exclusive. I do occasionally throw in something new just for fun.
I only did it to make room in my den. I have 1 more soap I need to use up, but not going to use exclusively like I did the XXX, thinking every other shave. What I realized doing it was I missed all my other soaps. I have 6 soaps that I really like now that perform great for me with Mikes Natural Barbershop ordered. I would PIF the last one, but enjoy it and have used too much of it already (Zi Peppino) I liked it enough to buy TFS tobacacco verde hard puck to replace it (my understanding is TFS makes the Zi and I have some issues with RR/IB and will no longer support them with my wallet.)
I saw the bottom of the container showing thru the middle of my MWF this morning, it will soon be time to order another puck.
