I'm glad I tried Merkur blades before I read this post. I love them. They work great for me.

Dorco ST-301 on the other hand were not nice to me at all. I have only tried them in a Merkur 34C so I will hold onto them to try in another razor (when I eventually get one.) After that they are out of my cabinet for ever.

If you have the space you should consider holding on to them...You can never tell when you'll get another razor that they will work wonderfully in...I always keep at least one full or partial pack of every blade I've tried just in case, even ones I've had really bad experiences with Feathers,Derbies,Dorco's, Merkurs,7AM...:)

Merkur blades work fine for me too. I had a pack in my sampler so I used them. I don't think I'll buy any more just because because of the price. I can get Feathers for 1/2 or Personna Labs for 1/4 of the cost.

I hate Merkur blades. They are platinum coated and most platinums tear my face up.

Any shaving cream from a can. I can't remember what it was called but early on I bought a shaving cream in a squeeze tube that was totally awful. I think it was from Italy and had a dolphin on the tube. That was one of the few shaving products I've purchased and thrown out.

Williams Mug Soap. I'm not fond of the mosquito repellant smell and don't want to work that hard to make a decent lather.
