I really like the Proraso red and green. As was already stated, you can't bet it for the price. I bought 2 tubs of the red and 2 tubs of the green a few months back. They were $7 per tub. Not cheap, but certainly cheaper than artisan soaps. The lather, slickness and scents work for me. However, I find the menthol in the green to be barely noticeable. Maybe it's because I've been comparing it to the Stirling glacial lemon chill (excellent soap!).
You shouldn't compare it to Stirling Glacial! Haahahaha. I think the green is nice in menthol, but the glacial burns my face!
The skin gets used to menthol. So if one is using a heavy mentholated product then a medium one like Green will seem very mild. If I haven't used menthol in a while the green almost burns my face. But every day it's just a nice mild chill.
