Proraso pro vs Omega 49 vs 48.

    I'd say they are both too big for face-lathering.

    I prefer the 49 btw.

    Has anyone tried the 20102 with half wooden handle? How is it different from the 49 and proraso?

    The 20102 is listed as 26mm X 59mm. The 10049 at 25mm X 63mm. Unsure about the Proraso's dimensions. With the 102 being thicker & shorter by a small amount it ought to be stiffer, but these are "natural" bristles so variation of fiber can affect the feel.

    The 102 does have a nicer handle. :D

    I haven't tried an Omega with a wood handle. The chrome finish on my #20248 held up well, but I traded it to another TSD member recently. I'll give props to Omega for their knot construction. The plastic handles are less than highest quality compared to other makers, but certainly functional. I'm still enjoying the classic barber's handle profile of the 3 year old solidly molded black plastic #10098.

    Proraso loft is shorter. 60mm.
