Yeah, I did a lot of reading before hand and everything I read stressed that a lot, so I definitely made sure to not apply pressure. It definitely takes a bit of getting used to, but I think that knowing that ahead of time is why I got so few nicks to begin with.
It's good that you did some research before shaving. But, as you say, it does take some getting used to. And that will come with practice.
