R.I.P. Roy Clark

One of the greatest pickers in the world has passed away at the age of 85.

 

It's a sad loss.

That's a great song-a wild guess here, but did that used to be a theme song for a Western TV show(Gunsmoke, Rawhide)?

 

Not that I know of. But it was the theme song for "Ghost Rider" with Nicolas Cage.

RIP I am not a big country music fan but I am fan of Roy Clark. Sad news.

 

Same here ..... Saturday nights with Hee Haw and Lawrence Welk. At the time I complained about missing Star Trek, but I have a lot of fond memories of sitting with my family (Mom, Dad, brothers and sister) enjoying the laughter and masters of music.

 

I was saddened to learn of his passing. I recall an episode of “The Odd Couple” that showcased his versatility.

 

Quincy loves that "Mtn. Dew".

 

Larry Welk was a talent.

 

I giggle every time.

I think my favorite Hee Haw clip was Roy Clark and Junior Samples laying in front of the old shack. Roy is facing stage left and Junior is facing stage right. The conversation goes like this:

Roy: Junior, you ought to see this girl I’m looking at.

Junior: What’s she like?

Roy: Well, she’s tall, blonde, and willowy, and ain’t hardly got no clothes on.

Junior: Boy, I wish I was facing that way.
