I got these a while back and want to use them but can't remember what they are for logging purposes. Anyone recognize these 2 blades? 1. 2.
I suggest a chainsaw for logging. Those will dull quickly when used like that. No idea on blade manufacturer. Carry on.
Those are Super Stainless Steel Polymer coated blades. Don't listen to the haters, those are absolutely perfect for logging. We use them exclusively during the timber harvests here in the great Pacific NW. I would bet most of your homes are built with lumber cut with those blades.
The second one is most likely some kind of vintage personna blade. I think I see a bit rust in the picture on it. Blue labs, maybe??
Well, I found a real answer. I did a search on the patent number and found, among other things this website. It talks about things like "In the case of high molecular weight fluorocarbons, the material may be applied to the blade cutting edge by placing the edge in close proximity to a supply of the fluorocarbon while the latter is heated"
I was thinking Viking but didn't want to say for sure. Thanks man. Yeah there's a little rust in the second one, but I have a few more tucks I may try them out. Thanks guys
