I got tired of storing my razors in a cup for a couple of reasons. One; taking them in and out of the cup was potentially contributing to the degradation of the finish and or aesthetics by dragging them across each other. I didn't want my new R41 all scratched up after only a week of usage, and two; with the blades still in them reaching in for a razor was sometimes like sticking your hand in a blender and as of this last weekend I hadn't sliced my finger, but it was only a matter of time. So, with a piece of flashing that happened to be the perfect size, I cut slots along the top piece, wide enough to slide my razors on, much like a wine glass holder in a restaurant/bar. I lined the cut edges with electrical tape so it wouldn't cut me or scratch the razors and two little brads keep the rack in place. Here are some pics.
Nice really not my thing, as if I did that the GF would know how many razor I have But I have thought about doing somthing very similar, but the above reason as stopped me
It's funny you mention that, Dean. Last night my wife said, "what's up with your razor collection?" DOH!
LOL I play alot of chess so Im always thinking ahead and wonedring what will happen if I do a certain thing. I really want a razor rack though
That is really a brilliant idea. I have a bunch just placed into a wooden box. Nice, neat, keeps things tidy. I like it.
Kudos !!! I love it when people make something really useful and functional out of something so simple. Not only is this obviously functional, It looks quite good and looks "in it's place" as though it was destined to be used that way. Perhaps I can use a similar idea with some different material and come up with something hopefully, almost as good as yours tomnat.
Fantastic idea I have 1 suggestion instead of electrical tape use some black automotive vacuum hose slit down 1 side and pushed on. It would give it the look of a rolled edge.
