I tried the facial creme once. It was uncomfortable and not very effective. Shave one third of your face with your most comfortable blade/soap/razor. Shave one third with cheap canned shaving creme and a 3 week old mach 3 blade, then "shave" one third with the creme. Your mach 3 should be about equidistant in terms of comfort/shave quality form the other 2 sides, just in opposite ways. YMMV of course.
