Geez, this news kinda breaks my heart actually. I've only recently started using Razorock and P.160 and frankly, they've been total game changers for me.
Bummer about the RR line's possible demise. My only question is what do you guys think the shelf life of this stuff is. A couple years?
I enjoy the products that Razorock has to offer. I currently have the Caco and the Artistan line. They are great lather producers, very slick. I hate to see these great line of soaps disappear.
If we are looking for a poor country to buy shaving products from its ours, for soaps the choices are themselves pretty poor, Williams and VDH.
It really is a damn shame there aren't any creams and soaps made in the US and readily available other than Williams, VDH and Kiss My Face (there may be others but I'm talking readily available - able to walk in just about any store and buy). But as long as JoAnna keeps at it with TSD products and Nancy Boy keeps at it with their lines, I'll keep on sticking with them as my go-to for USA-made soaps and creams makers and retailers.
So I have decided Im going to get XXX and the aftershave wax, and one of the white cans (artisan line) of shaving soap but I cant decide between these: Third Eye - wanted to get this one cause some sites say it got a sandlewood scent to it, which I like, not sure if its true or not? Mentolipto - Thinking this might feel nice with the menthol in it. Boston Tea - supposed to have a green tea scent, which leads me to believe it has it in it which is good for skin. Help me out guys, comment away.
Ryan, yesterday I received a tub of the Boston Tea Party and I have to say that I like the scent, but it wasn't what I expected. I thought with a name like Boston Tea Party, it would be more of a black tea scent. Something like Earl Grey or English Breakfast. Anyway, the scent is of green tea and has some undertones of tobacco. It is really nice and the lather is fantastic. The only negative I would give it is that the scent is not very strong and definitely doesn't last long. I would recommend this soap if you like green tea scents. I hope this helps.
I like the xxx but the classic has got to be my favorite. Its like shaving with pie. I'd better pic up some befor they're out.
Based on what I've seen of Joe's postings in other places, I doubt the line is going away. Sounds like there'll be a small price increase in the near future. He's also supposed to be coming out with another line in the coming months. I love the Classic too. If it goes away, then I guess the consolation prize is knowing the the Classic is repackaged Fitness and that's still available.
What do you know about the Santa Maria line? Similar to the KL line but in a different scent? Thanks.
I haven't heard much about it other than what I've seen Joe post elsewhere (see below): When I was mentioning price increases, I should of clarified better. I wasn't talking about doubling the prices. I'm hoping the increases won't be more than 50 cents to $1. It's paramount to myself and my business partner to offer value. The RazoRock brand was created for the average hard-working guy. In Italy, it doesn't require a 'fat wallet' to get the best shave possible so why should that be any different in North America; I give you my word I'm trying my best. We will be releasing a new line in the next few months that I plan on hitting a larger audience with. I believe this line is going to break new ground in terms of price/quality, in the wet shaving space; we are extremely excited and we are just working out how best to distribute this line in order to benefit the most people.
