Blade: Gillette Silver blue(4) excellent blade, Sharp & smoooth, reasonable longevity, one of my favorite blades. Soap: Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore- nice scent, excellent lather qualities with a good post feel. Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24mm Sagrada Familia- great lather generator with cloud like soft tips, nice gentle scrub & good lather painter. Pre shave: Brush was my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my RR 2nd gen Lupo .72 with a GSB blade. Brush: Yaqi lucky dice tuxedo knot 26 mm- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, good scrubber + lather painter. Pre shave: Brush was my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore + Nivea balm. SOTD, Fri, Feb 2021 Razor: Kai Style shavette- Mfg 2018> great zamik shavette to learn with and easy to manipulate over the face, guarded blade is nice for this Greenhorn. I do not shave with it every day but still can get a great shave. Blade: Kai Protouch guarded, excellent blade, Sharp & smoooth and highly recommended for any shaving level from beginner to seasoned shaver. Soap: Razorock The Dead Sea- very nice scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi Chianti's 24mm knot, excellent lather generator with heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrub + great lather painter. Pre shave: brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3 pickups. WTG + 2x ATG + pickups. Post shave: Razorock The Dead Sea splash with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm. Brush: Yaqi 26 mm Red Zebra handle, excellent lather generator, heavenly soft tips with gentle scrub + great lather painter. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm. DE SOTD, Thur, Feb 25th 2021 Razor: Razorock German 37 slant- MFG 2016> great high efficentcy mid range slant, enjoyed this razor from day 1 and bought a extra head just in case(1st razor to get a true BBS with back in 2017). Very affordable and worth it to myself. 2 pass shave razor. Blade: Gillette Nacet (4)- excellent blade, sharp & smooth + good longevity. Soap: Razorock XXX- nice mid range clean scent, excellent lather qualities. Good post feel shave. SE SOTD, Thur, Mar4th 2021 Razor: Valet auto-strop C1 Canadian variant- MFG 1920's, modified gap from .011 to .007 thousands of inch to smooth out the shave 2 years ago and enjoy my shave today. Nice to use a razor back from the roaring 1920's, Valet Auto strop was a household name at that time period. Blade: Modified GEM Personna SS PTFE(3) excellent blade, very sharp, good longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable. Soap: Italian barber Amici, nice mid red grapefruit scent, great lather qualities. Brush: Razorock Noir plissoft 24 mm, nice lather generator, cloud like soft tips with good scrub back bone + great lather painter. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with ceraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my Valet Auto-strop C1 + a Gem modified coated blade. Blade: Kai SS (8) Excellent blade, Sharp & smooth with good longevity, wider than standard Gillette blade by .009 thousands of a inch or .00045" per side for more blade feel, nice in razors that are milder and will give a nice boost in blade exposure if desired. Soap: Razorock "The Dead Sea", great scent, excellent lather qualities with good post shave feel. Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24mm, excellent lather generator, soft tips with excellent scrub & excellent lather painter, Oldest synthetic I have in my collection of synthetics with years of service with no let downs. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. DE SOTD, Thur, March 25th 2021 Razor: Razorock 2nd Gen Lupo .72- excellent mid range, I receive excellent results usually and carefree shaving. Does not get much better for shaving. Good razor for a daily driver from medium to heavy beard possibly for some folks IMO. Blade: Polsilver super iridium (1 corked) I always cork this blade for first shave because it seems a little rough but it becomes a excellent blade after that. Sharp & smooth + great longevity. One of my favorite blades. Soap: Cyril R Salter Indian Sandal wood, excellent scent + great lather qualities. Good post shave feel. Brush: Yaqi Moka express 24 mm- new addition to brush collection, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrub + good lather painter.
