I have my Merkur Progress long handled adjustable razor. The smoothness of the handle does necessitate keeping the pinky finger firmly under the adjustment knob, and it's definitely not for use in the shower, but it looks damned good and it works. If good grip is more your thing, the Parker Variant is one I highly recommend. That's if you're looking to keep it under $100. If you don't mind going a little over $100, I suggest the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Ascension Twist Adjustable, specifically, the 316L Stainless Steel version. That sucker has VERY good knurling, so you'll never need worry about it slipping out of your hand. It, too, is a work of machine art.
