    It does!
    It's spells "Razor" in a circular way...with a "T" in the middle;

Do you plan on making comparisons? Such as this against the Blackland Blackbird? Thanks.

The baseplate shape reminds me a little of a MUCH more pronounced Futur. It has the safety bar that curves up like that.

I've been on 'quest' trying to find current/vintage OC razor with a similar design and the closest I could find was the Punktal 101 (and the later iKon 101 version).
Having said that none of them have the teeth bend up in a demi-cage way like this razor does (meaning all teeth bend like the end teeth). Closest is maybe the Bohin (but in reverse) or a full cage like the Famex.
It's a really neat design and based on my first shave impression I'm surprised it hasn't been used in more razors.

What about the Emir? Well, the end teeth are different, so that's a no go as well.

yeah the Emir came close as well but it's rather similar to its German cousin the Punktal

It reminds me of an open comb progress. The way the teeth come around forming a channel to catch lather.

    Shave Report #2

Second time using the TR OC razor.
This time I allowed for a bit more stubble to build up (two days worth of it).
Next shave report will be on Sunday/Monday with 3-4 days of stubble to mow down.

Lathered up some Jabonman 'Rosas' soap using my le Tuft brush that might take the place as the best brush I own.
Last shave I felt that the handle was not quite long enough for me so I decided to switch to a slightly longer handle mid-shave.

Loaded up the same Rapira blade that I used a few days ago and 'went to work'.

    First Pass (WTG):
Same good audible feedback and the razor really mows down the stubble.
"Efficient" is the one word that comes to mind as I shave and I find myself thoroughly enjoying the shave.
It's hard to describe how 'aggressive' the razor is. It constantly feels as if it could bite me but I am making the way through the shaves unscathed. In the first shave report I said I'd equate it to a Slim on 7-8 and in lack of a better way to judge it I will stay with that rating.

    Second Pass (ATG):
Switched out the TR handle for a Wolfman WRH7 handle, lathered up and went in for the next pass.
Ah! This is more like it. The slightly longer handle really works for me and even though it's just 12mm or so I find myself maneuvering the razor with greater ease and more comfortable.
I am also now noticing a difference in the knurling on the handle. The TR handle's knurling feels just a bit too pronounced when compared to the more subtle pattern on the Wolfman. Ideally I'd love to have a TR handle that was slightly longer and thicker and where the knurling was toned down a bit.
I'm noticing that for some reason the audible feedback is enhanced during the ATG pass.

At the end of the second pass I was completely clean shaven. It's not that often that I get away with this close a shave (other razors that deliver that for me is for instance the King Cobra and the M.Peroni). I mean, my face is very, very smooth.

I'm developing a serious crush on the head - both from how it looks but more importantly how it shaves.
This demi-cage design is, for me, very successful.
As mentioned the handle is where it falls a bit short (no pun intended) for me with a knurling that it just a bit too pronounced for my, apparently, delicate hands.

Cleaning up the sink and putting away all the stuff I feel my face and feel almost sad that I won't shave again for three days.

Stay tuned for how it handles a bit more growth.

Thanks for the comparison to the Gellette adjustables on 7. I'll pass!

It might be closer to an 8. It's a really hard razor to tell. Super efficient but feels like it could cut me..even though it hasn't yet.

Sorry that I can't compare it to. The only iKon I have is their B1 Deluxe.

    SHAVE REPORT #3

After not having shaved for four days I had a rather healthy growth going into the den this morning - but I was really curious as to how the TR razor would handle it.

Lathered up some T&H soap with my semi-floppy EJ brush (still a great brush) and put the same Rapira blade into the razor that I used for the prior two shaves. So the razor had to deal with both my longer whiskers as well as a blade that is on its third use.

    It handled it...extremely well.
Two passes as per usual (WTG and ATG).
Already after the first pass (WTG) I was essentially clean shaven (let's say about 85%). Some of my regular trouble spots - under the chin and nose - still needed some work but the second pass (ATG) smoothed out those areas as well as the rest of the face.
Still the same nice audible feedback and a shave that "feels" aggressive..but stops short of biting.

So four days of growth and a blade on it's third tour of duty did not face (no pun intended) this razor the slightest.

I'm seeing shave reports and reviews coming in on other forums now from people getting the OC razor and was pleased to see that these reports are very similar to my own.

Can't wait for TR to launch their redesigned handle as that is the only thing holding me back from giving this razor a big, shiny gold star.
Love the head - fantastic design in both looks and performance - a pure pleasure to use and one of the best razor heads I have ever tried.

    Timeles Razor just posted this:

"The positive response to our launch has been overwhelming, and we appreciate the feedback. A few things have become apparent to us; the price difference between SB and OC is too big has been the biggest.

We have rolled up our sleeves and worked in the shop this past week to bring cycle times down on the machining of the OC head and cap. We brought in new custom tooling to help with this process. The results have been great! The cycle time and the finish off of the CNC machines has been greatly improved. This improvement on the finish from the CNC has also drastically improved our hand polishing time on the OC. So I am pleased to tell you that there is a much smaller price gap between the OC and SB razors. We will also be sending a refund for the difference to our clients who have already purchased the OC.

Here at Timeless Razor we want to work with the wet shaving community to provide the best razors possible. We are confident that our improvements on the processing of these razors will benefit you as well. We will continue to welcome your feedback, and make improvements.

    Happy Shaving,

    Timeless Razor"

The OC model has come down 65 bucks - from $285 to $220

Right now the OC dropped from $285 to $220

    Looking at some current competitors w/in the DE area there are;

    Blackland - $160
ATT, Kronos (probably the most popular one) - $185
    Pils, say, 101NE - $220
    Wolfman - $235

With the Timeless razor now being $185 for the SB model and $220 for the OC model I'd say they present much better than the previous price point.
Well done offering refunds as well to people who bought at the higher price.
