Rooney Revealed...

I see mention of Rooney 1/3 etc. What do the numerator and denominator mean? I take it one is a style number? maybe?

This is for a style 3, but if you look back through the pages, you'll see the other styles. Click on a size and it will tell you about the knot.

IMHO, if you buy a Rooney from Jim, I think you'll be VERY pleased with it.

I have 3/1. Its a great brush for both creams and soaps.

It seems for all styles, size 1=22mm, 2=24mm, 3-26mm.

I just love all this money I'm saving by spending 10 cents for a blade vs. $2+. I should break even around 2071, if I don't buy any more stuff.

+1, Jim is a great guy as well and gives better customer service than I have ever witnessed from any shave website. Close second is the lady who runs this sites store for sure!

 

I looked at Vintage Blades and classic shaving on the Rooneys and they don't list the 2/2 or the 2/3 and their related dimensions(am I missing something?). Though I figured out the progression of the knot size, I'm still agonizing over which size to get. What are the pros/cons of the different sizes?
