Running out of Astra SPs

I always look at blades over 10-15$ as if they were expensive.

Compared to what I USED to pay for blades. I can go up to 25-30$ and still be winning haha. It's 100 blades!!! Minimum of 200 shaves, maybe even 300 shaves! Hahaha that's so cheap =P

 

Have you tried Rapira Swedish Super steel? This was a surprise for me, I like Astra Superior Platinum and Polsilver. You can get it for $12 shipped on ebay.
I find it smooth and efficient similar to Polsilver.

 

Im gonna keep trying the Gillette silver blue, but I have been eying Personna lab blue on ebay. 12.5$ plus 2$ is a very very good price shipped to sweden. I have one last personna. I'm gonna compare it to the GSB

 

No that one of the blades I still haven't tried. It was actually due to be tried after the Gillette silver blue blades =) but i decided to compare GSB to Personna. But AFTER that will try those blades. I have a pack =)

So I used the GSB again today. Same setup and got another great shave. This blade gets me close! I usually use a blade twice and toss it, but I'm gonna use this blade a third time because I really think it will do a good job.

hmm, this blade might become blade number 3 on my Go2 list

 

I like GSBs as well. I get about 4 good shaves with them. #5 seems to be a little rough. I've only tried 2 of them, but I got the same results with both blades.

 

I have found it to be a very nice blade. When I was new to this hobby I tried this soap. It tore up my face real bad haha so I didn't want to use it. But my technique is much much better now

 

Didn't uncle Norseman tell you this was a good blade? Yes he did, and now he tells you that the Polsilver blades s are equally good, if not better. Both the new, and especially the NOS Polsilver made in the "legendary" Lodz factory in Poland.
Still available from Shaving.ie, and if it weren't for my no buy rule for 2015 I might get myself another hundred.

I have compared Personna lab blue to the Gillette silver blue and found that the GSB is better. So now I have 3 Go2blades. GSB has risen to the top of the list. Is I dont find another great and much cheaper blade, i Will be purchasing a 100pack of GSB.

I Also tried Rapira Swedish super steel today. I got a decent shave, a TAD tuggy. To be honest the test wasnt really fair, i used a strongly mentholated soap. I'm gonna try it again with MWF =) I will let you know. But honestly Indont think it is going to come near my present top 3 blades
