Cut the End of the Blade that's Going into the Razor..It will Slip into the Standard Magazine Easier Use Brand New Serrated Edge Scissors If you Don't get a Clean Cut..Dress it off with a Womans Nail File.. Okay, thanks to all you enablers out there, I'm going to be in trouble again. I just bought a Schick Eversharp G type injector on eBay for $5.00 plus shipping. It's not mint, but it looked decent enough in the pictures. I also purchased 2 packs of injector blades. I'm in for $21 in total, so not too bad to explain to the wife. Hmm... I'll see if it lives up to the hype before I go further down the rabbit hole!
It's gonna clean up beautifully Jim, I used scrubbing bubbles on mine. I think you'll be pleased with it!
Scrubbing bubbles works well on cleaning these razors up. Just get the kind with out bleach. Also don't leave it on much more than a minute or so, as I understand it can attack the finish if left for too long. I hold the razor right up to the nozzle and get the foam under the blade spring to get the area underneath cleaned out too. Then I rinse thoroughly in hot water. If there's no blade in the razor, hold it upside down and carefully watch as you inject a new blade. If it drags over the blade stops, you'll have to inject a new blade before your inaugural shave. Also don't try to force the curved spring open on a G-Type, that's bad.
Be very careful if you use hot water for cleaning, it can melt/deform the handle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That looks like a real peach Jim...Nice find. Should clean up nice. And don't worry about falling down the rabbit hole...at the bottom there is a soft cushion of other guys who fell before you to break your fall.
