Short answer. Yes. You have to have the tray. These are very fragile so be careful. I personally hand load the blades. Congratulations Tom
I thought they passed a law somewhere limiting C types to two per household. I think you'll have to send one to me for safekeeping just in case the Razor Police come knocking at your door.
Shaved with the C1 this morning and it was perfect not much difference in the aggressive department, maybe a little more efficient.
I gotta agree about the balance. They're terribly handle heavy and require an unusual shave angle due to the injector system. Lets face it, they shave well but they are awkward. I suspect this is why there are so many available in good shape. Men bought them for the forward thinking blade replacement, used them a few times and decided the minuses outweighed the plusses. So they go to the back of the medicine cabinet and out comes the razor you're more comfortable with. But you got to admit, as a piece of shaving history, they are waaay cool and will get the job done. I shave with one of my Repeaters occasionally but can't see any of them making my regular rotation.
My father recently gave me a collection of razors he has picked up over the years. I've been slowly bringing them back to life and into service. Next up is B type. Any suggestions on a way to smooth out what appears to be hammer marks? I suspect the blade must have been loose and a previous owner had a crude solution.
BTW I'm a newbie on the forum and would like to join the ranks of the Schick Repeater owners. Way cool piece of hardware. They don't make 'em like they used to...
Yeah..I think you are right..That's been Hit to tighten it up by the looks of it..I reckon it is what it is..Not much you can So about that unless you knew someone that could make a replacement part because that comes apart.. Billy..
Although dinged, to touch it's actually smooth. I believe it will be shaveable once cleaned up. Not much metal there for a sand down option. Wasn't sure if there was an elegant solution out there. I had it apart and fiddled with it the other evening. The repeater works flawlessly. Thanks for the advice.
I can almost picture some gentlemen in a morning rush fiddling with a loose blade, probably cut himself, and thought, I'll fix that. Still, he must have had class to be driving the B2. Appreciate the positive thought.
