3-5 shaves max on a Chinese Schick and no more, even if it still feels good. I buy 7 packs at a time through Walgreens (at 7 packs you get free shipping) so that's about 70 cents a blade. Good enough for me on an every day blade. I do admit to using more expensive NOS blades, cut down Feather AC blades and even Japanese Schicks. But at 60 and having just started shaving like this, I'm indulging myself a bit and making up for lost time. Cheers! RT
I'm hooked!! Found my first repeater a few days ago. Cleaned it up. Used it, now I'm looking for more!
Tonight I busted out my C2 What a shave it was. 3 pass BBS. The C2 is my favorite Repeater. The shave is so effortless. I need to use these more often.
You sure do! I have my B2 up for Thursday and while it is a fine razor after that it will be replaced by one of the C's for a while. Repeating razors are tops!
I used my B2 this weekend and it was very kind to me. I think this was the 8th shave on this blade so it is breaking my 4-5 shave rule. I'm moving to the C1 next, another fine razor. Keep it real everyone!
'evening gents! I just got a B1 in the mail today. I've skimmed through the 70 pages in this thread, without seeing any mention of the (usually) mangled screw in the folding head... is it possible to find replacements? Pictures does not do these cool razors justice
From what I've found no, the screw is not something you would be able to find anywhere. This is one of the things that I'm picky about when buying a repeating razor. About all you can do is find a parts razor that has a decent screw and go from there....
That's a shame. Maybe, sometime in the future, it would be possible to have someone make a small batch... Thanks for the reply Mike - Might I join the club?
I'm officially an owner of one of these beauties I shaved with it this morning and it was quite different.. I cut myself and had weepers. I need to work on the angle
I've not seen the inside parts removed from a type B before. I'm curious how they come out. Can you get some close ups of the details? I'd like to know how it comes apart.
