Thank you, Doug. That is my birth year GEM Bullet Tip. Introduced in 1947, it is one of my smoothest shaving razors. In October, for the week of my birthday, I will be using all my birth year razors. Otherwise, OCtober will be Open Comb month for me.
Well, there are a couple of spelling variations. But, this is the one I like and prefer. No one can really pin down the true meaning of the word, for there are many that have different opinions on what the word means. Of the 2 that I like that describe Kemosabe is "Trusted Scout" and "Wrong Brother". If you followed The Lone Ranger series, you'll know what I mean.....
SEptember 8, 2017 Pre-shave: Hot shower Soap cream: Nivea Sensitive Shaving Gel Razor: Schick Type I Blade: Chinese Schick (2nd use) Post Shave: Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm, Pinaud Musk The Nivea gel is one of my "I'm-in-a-hurry-but-I-wanna-shave" options. I find the Nivea gel slick, easy to lather and comfortable. I did both a face and head shave, 2 passes on each with quick, short follow-ups on trouble spots. Very satisfying and comfortable shave. Have a great day and a great weekend, my friends! Prayers and best wishes to all of you have to endure Hurricane Irma.
Razor: Alumigoose w/ Timeless TRH7 85mm Barber Pole Blade: KAI Captain Titan (1) Brush: DFS LE Nathan Clark Envy White Handle Aluminum Color, Anodized Dark Bronze. #41/150 Soap: Reef Point Soap Admiralty A/S: Lucky Tiger, Old Spice Decanter: Old Spice Blue Glass Ship 1973-1975 ID #3228 Bowl: Timeless LE DFS with these tools tonight. First time with this shave bowl and razor handle. Both worked very well. When you see a date for Old Spice Decanters the first date is when the decanter was introduced and the second date is the last year they produced that decanter.
Ultimately derived from gimoozaabi, an Ojibwe and Potawatomi word that may mean "he/she looks out in secret", it is sometimes translated as "trusty scout" or "faithful friend". You would think I would have better things to do with my life at my advanced age.
Thanks Clint. So far the Admiralty has been good. I'll need the next week to really be able to assess it.
Thank you, Clint! Still going at it at work. Things around the house are as normal as cam be with am added family. We are getting along pretty well.

Saturday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream B 400 by Tom Dubl Duck 5/8 Schick G 66 Personna Stainless CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Barbasol AS Saturday is traditionally my straights day, but because it is SEptember, I did my second pass with the Schick 66. I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the B 400 badger brush by Tom. I did the first pass with the Dubl Duck 5/8. Because it is SEptember, I did the second pass with the Schick G 66 with a Personna Stainless blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
