Saturday's Straight/SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Tabac Shaving Cream Jayaruh #217 Gold Dollar 6/8 Schick G Personna Stainless CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 synthetic brush. I did the first pass with the Gold Dollar 6/8 straight and finished with the Schick G and a Personna Stainless blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My sotd Razor - 1912 English Gem Blade - Gem (8) Brush - ever ready reknot synthetic Soap - stubble trubble Post - thayers medicated witch hazel Aftershave - pinaud lime sec This past week I changed my routine quite a bit. For the past month I've been getting a lot of razor burn. I've always chased the baby and some days I get it without issue and other days I get it with some burn. So since I was sticking to SE this month I decided to try something different. I started each shave ATG, and since my facial grows in all directions, I did 3 passes all ATG followed by one pass WTG for the clean up. I have to say I haven't been burned once this week. Today's shave is no different. I think the blade was at its end , but I'm bbs smooth. I love the scent of this soap and it performs well. The aftershave is musky from being a vintage bottle that I think has gone bad. But I'm starting to really enjoy it now.

Smooth shave. Will swap back to an injector for the next shave on Monday. I'm enjoying this month of great SE shaves from everyone! Have a great weekend!
Tonight's shave was with a fantastic Japanese Folding Kamisori. I had a very sharp and smooth 2 pass shave, that left me Samurai smooth. I had zero issues. This is a finely made, and heavy razor. Razor- Japanese Kamisori. "Suzuki No1". Asymmetrical grind, but I honed it Western style. This works out great. Brush- B400 By Tom(@twhite ). Boar hair. Soap- Stirling Glastonbury. Just finished the puck. I'm a fan of Stirling soaps, just not so much a fan of this one, for smell and lathering ability. Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. NOS Ships Bell Decanter.
