I am doing shavette and Schicks this month, and will post here when applicable! Thanks for hosting this month...it's one of the best themes! New guys really need to consider SE (especially Injectors), and they don't get enough exposure or writing in general forums.
YES!!! Injectors come closest in feel to modern disposable/cart razors, and are an excellent starting point, IMO.
Thank you for the kind words. My lawn is very shaded but I do have several rock gardens that I often use for SOTD photos.
SEptember 4, 2017 Mowed the lawn then walked the dogs... then it was time for a shower and shave: While I was pushing the mower I decided upon the following: CO Bigelow Shave Cream (finally remembered it was menthol Monday) Razorock synthetic brush vintage GEM Junior loaded with a Gem blade (2nd use) Post Shave: Witch Hazel, Mennen Afta Original, and Brut As expected it was a fun shave (both face and head), but I got a little careless on the face shave. I got too confident with this new-to-me razor and ended up with bleeders on my chin and neck. Nothing serious, just enough to bleed a little and burn (still burning a little after 30 minutes), reminding me that I'm a rookie with these SE razors. Hope everyone is having a great day!
My sotd Razor - Star 1912 Blade - gem (6) Brush - semoque 830 Soap - Tuscan oud Aftershave - pinaud bay rum Fantastic shave. Bbs smooth with very little sting . Although similar model as the gem junior (1912) this shave felt smoother.

Tuesday's SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream B 400 by Tom GEM 1912 CVS SE CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Barbasol AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the B 400 badger brush by Tom. I did the two passes with the GEM 1912 and CVS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
