I need more than that. All week I've had to take cold showers before and after shaving. Even that didn't do it though. Had to switch to menthol cream and AS. Finally almost got it under control.

Friday, one more day with the same blade, this time in my Gem Clog Pruf. Another BBS shave. I don't necessarily shave for the results. If I did, I'd probably us an SE for every shave; I've had more BBS or near BBS shaves with my SEs than my DEs. I shave more for the experience and joy of using a variety of razors, most of which are older than I am. Saturday, time for a str8 shave. Today it was my Boker S.S. Spirit of St. Louis, with a cameo appearance by my Schick Injector E model for touch up.
So Steve...I know it's not a competition....but how did your SE razors stack up to each other this week....seems most gave you a BBS or close to it....But when you figure in the pleasure of the whole experience....did you have favorites ??
My MMOC and Lather Catcher are my favorite SEs. The Lather Catcher is just so cool looking. That it gives a great shave is a bonus. To be honest, when I first saw one I thought it was a gimmick and passed on it. Then I saw a few here at TSD. I snatched up the next LC I came across! As I said, I was quite surprised with the shave the 1912 gave me this week. SEs will always be a part of my weekends; count on that!!
Saturday E2 injector with Schick blade (6) Preshave - MR GLO MWF Simpson's Special Best badger - face lather 3 pass shave with a little polishing Master's Bay Rum I used distilled water this shave and was still a bit disappointed in the MWF. I had some overall irritation also, which may be due to the MR GLO. But I ended up with a BBS shave, the injector did a great job on the polishing pass. I think I'll try my I1 tomorrow for the last day of SE Week. I just have to decide on the brush, cream and aftershave. Decisions, decisions, decisions
Alright last night I tried the gem featherweight. Ted pella blade, arko, m-bomb, Pinaud citrus musk. I believe the gem to be a very effective tool, just not sure if I can master the tool. Decent shave but, felt smoother with the injector or a DE. First time with the m-bomb, loved it. Made 2 passes 1 wtg, 1 xtg. Maybe I will try it again later, be for sure going back to the DE next week.
Man...Great shaves from everyone this week...Congratulations...The only reason I didn't join you guys is I'm expecting a gift package from 'Hoosier Trooper'....Out of the goodness of his heart he's put together some SE's he wants me to check out...I've no idea what he's sending, and he ain't saying, ...This package is suppose to arrive any day, I was expecting it last monday.....Also 'feeltheburn' in a very kind jesture, pif'ed me his Gem Feather Weight, but I'm waiting on incoming SE blades that are on their way..... So these things should arrive any day and I will then do my SE week retro-actively, and will post on this thread.....Thanks Steve, for having this great thread-theme....I can't wait to bring up my end...)....Believe me...I'm excited..Like I told Tom....First I was drooling....now,..I'm foaming at the mouth....I won't need lather...lol
Sunday Since it's the first Sunday of the month, I hand stropped a fresh SE blade and dropped it into my Ever Ready 1912. A darn fine shave, but it only confirmed my earlier statements of preferring the MMOC and Lather Catcher over the 1912. Here's what the week's lineup looked like (l-r): Gem Push Button, Gem MMOC, Gem Jr. 1912 with Baton handle, Gem Clog Pruf, Gem Jr. Lather Catcher, Ever Ready 1912 Center: Boker S.S. Spirit of St. Louis, Schick E Model This has certainly been a fun week for me. Hope all of you have enjoyed it! Coming up, DIY Week.
Last shave of SE week. I used my I1 injector for the first time. I1 injector with Schick blade (1) TOBS Lavender Omega Mighty Midget 3 passes Alum Master's Bay Rum This was a great theme week, now I'm looking forward to June for injector week.

Tuesday Arko SS/Omega 10029 ER 1912/OCMM/Gem Feather Weight/Gem HFT Gem SS d1 moved from razor to razor Old Spice AS WTG pass...1/2 face 1912....1/2 face OCMM XTG pass...OCMM ATG pass....one side ATG buffed with the FW....other G-bar. Both are buffing machines but whiskers still there...so I did a few quick strokes with the OCMM and whiskers GONE!!...like they were never there, ha,ha...
Wednesday Arko SS & Arko Extra Sensitive SC/Omega 10029 ER 1912/OCMM/ Gem SS d2 moved from razor to razor Arko-Nem moisturizer/Old Spice AS WTG 1912....ATG OCMM.....Clean Up 1912...2nd Clean Up OCMM after OCMM clean up BBS
Thursday Arko SS/Omega 10029 ER 1912/OCMM-Gem SS d3 moved from razor to razor Arko-Nem moisturizer/Old Spice AS WTG-1912.....XTG-1912....ATG-1912......ATG-OCMM Maybe too many passes....Super BBS....but a bit red...no blood but a little razor burn....after the 3rd pass I was burnt but not quite DFS so 1 pass with the OCMM I was BBS but burnt......Tomorrow I will try first 2 passes with the OCMM...
Friday Arko SS & Arko Max Comf. SC/Omega 10029 ER 1912/OCMM/Gem SS d4 moved from razor to razor Arko-Nem moisturizer/Old Spice AS Like I said...I started with the OCMM....I did both cheeks from side burn to bottom of cheek...clean and smooth...Then it seemed to stick when I tried to slide into my top lip area...I thought about rinsing and relathering...but decided for comparison sake I'd move the blade over to the 1912... Man...top lip, bottom lip...neck....I finished the WTG pass and got maybe the easiest one pass BBS evah!! This ER 1912 was kickin' serious razor butt...I was holding her differently than before...a light finger tip grip close to her neck...I've always held her at the base of the handle before... Now I'm BBS but decided to relather and do an ATG pass and allow this Art nouveau beauty to strut her stuff, and she did....The sound was like a whisker horror movie...She was finding whiskers to annialate that I couldn't see...but she was still being gentle and pampering me... Result...one of my best shaves ever...2 pass perfection...shiney BBS and no irritation...I can see why HT and so many cats have always sung the praises of these 1912's....they deserve it....
