You killin me Gary.....That Ben Sidran tune is hilarious.... Interesting chain of events in the shave cave....I've been alternating shaves with my ER 1924 and my Schick E2. When I went 'E' hunting, what I had publicly been posting about, was looking for an injector that could match my ER's 1924 and 1914s pass for pass...I wanted that 'practically BBS' first pass and that 'Petting a Dolphin' finale Well, it looks like I found exactly what I was looking for...I have to rate these two practically identical shave results....although the injector is more fun to load the blade in...}8^D Somethings never fail to provide entertainment... The shaving experience is slightly different....Both enjoyable but different....The Schick is lighter so you are figuring how much pressure to use...The ER has a larger head which seems to make it easier not to miss anything with each stroke, although I think thats an illusion.. BTW...I never talk about it, but I love witch hazel. A just a palm full after the cold water rinse that immediately follows the shave and then the after shave....But, that single insignificant palm full of WH is too noticeable if its missing....I love it and its very inportant to 'seal the shave (deal)' as it were....I might get some of that scented WH from TSD store.....

9/15/2015 Single Edge September / Tobacco Tuesday! Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO Razor: GEM Featherweight, Hamburg Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor Blade: GEM PTFE coated SE blade (11) Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair Soap: RazoRock - Tobacco #2 After: Home made ASB, Nivea After Shave Balm Cologne: Midnight In Paris It is Tobacco Tuesday! The Vie Long brush whipped the Tobacco #2 into a nice lather. The Featherweight paired with the GEM blade and the Duck did a good job removing the stubble. The GEM blade is at the end of its life and will be retired. The Nivea and the Midnight In Paris were a nice finish to this 2 pass Darn Fine Shave. Have a blessed day!
It sounds like that E2 is getting the love it deserves. That turns out to be a great trade. I am glad to have done business with you. BTW, I am a WH lover too. I started with Dickinson's and now have a collection of different "flavors." I like the lemon and rose the best. Very light scent that does not linger too long to interfere with your after shave. Have a great day.

September 15, 2015 During Single Edge SEptember I've experienced razors I’ve never used before: four different Schick injectors (Type E, G, I and J) a PAL Adjustable. I’ll add another today - a Schick Type C (Magazine Repeating Razor). I’ve got two different types - an open comb (C1) and one with a safety bar (C3) that I’ll use today. Morning shave Hot Shower Soap: Arko stick Brush: Omega Pro 48 Razor: Schick C3 Blade: Schick Injector (China) (1) Thayers Lemon & Aloe Witch Hazel After Shave: Myrsol Limon Two-pass shave. A little apprehensive approaching this razor. A bit of a departure from other injectors I’ve used. It’s certainly heavier than more “modern” injectors. I’ve also read that modern injector blades are a tad thicker than those used when this razor was manufactured 80 years ago. So that meant not using the auto-load feature of the design. Inserting a blade manually requires care for safety, but is easily done. First pass - XTG - All apprehension was immediately relieved as the cutting angle is easily found by my normal routine - cap first onto the skin and increasing the blade angle from there to ascertain the best cutting angle. I used a very shallow angle on this first shave. Very smooth pass, hardly felt the blade, but got an acceptable reduction. Second pass - ATG - I chose to use the same angle as the first pass. A good deal more feedback of course, but normal for most injectors. A very nice shave. I think that in time, regular BBS would be a possibility for me with this razor. The added weight makes it a bit easier to focus on our “no pressure” mantra than with the more common, lighter injectors. I will be working with this and the open comb version to see which works best for me. My hope is that, because of it’s compact design, it might make for a very good travel razor. Cheers! RT
Another great write up Sir...I have a B Type Repeater and like it very much and like yourself was a bit apprehensive at first but soon got the hang of it... I was expecting a rough ride but was surprized about how smooth it was albeit they do require some more focus and attention than later injectors... Nice one Sir... Billy
Thanks Billy! With my work, I do an overnight (by car) every week for about 6 months each year, so I like to have a kit packed up and just leave it in the car just in case. This razor is a great size for travel and in my situation it would work well if I can develop my skill to get an automatic two-pass, DFS with each shave. This first shave makes me feel that with practice, I could make that work. ...and thanks again for all your advice with injectors!
At the rate you are going through the Worlds Injectors Sir....I will be coming to you for advice.... Billy...
(well let's just try that on for size, shall we...) Hey Billy, I think it would be good for you to send me that Type F! ...and while we're at it...how about the 1946 Christmas edition 14 Karat G 2 or the 1947 Christmas edition G 3..... (this is gonna be great! Watch me seal the deal with this one...) Tell you what I'm gonna do Billy...I'll even pay the postage! (hook, line and sinker!)
well, you didn't say what kind of advice, right?!! (when I give advice - it's usually all bad advice!)
I love shaving when traveling....When I used to do tours with bands, it was when I really needed a great shave to make me feel great...after a 5 or 600 mile drive, nothing can get you feeling as refreshed and ready to make that concert than a really great Traditional Wet Zen Shaving Experience...Before I discovered than it was just coffee and cigs....no comparison....lol! Man @Rufus T. ...that Repeater looks like a shaving kit in a razor....everything but the soap and brush in the blade holder....
