Received a Personna Floating Head from 1973 (I believe the black handled one is from 1972). The back of the package in case anyone bought one w/out the packaging and was curious as to what was on it: It took about 22 seconds before I decided to liberate it from it's packaging as I will have to shave with it.... Will be great fun to see how it works out for me......
Nice one Sir...I think that these are quite elegant razors...These are not Schicks...Different animal so they are...The Floating head is quite an aggressive shaver....I am not aware of the Floating Head at work to be honest until I touch the back of it and you can feel it...I wouldn't be tempted to use pressure with it...Just use it like any other injector...Its very easy to go too steep with this one as the shaving angle isn't as intuitive as a Schick... Enjoy Sir... Billy
Day 22 - SEptember 2015 30 Days with a Schick G Embarked on a three day test run of a new scent from @TheSoapExchange , and had good results. I believe it's time to change this blade, but otherwise it was the automatic two-pass capped off with TSD 2x Iced Barber Shoppe to match the soap. Average beautiful seasonal weather today on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I've heard that as well. It seems this one is a real divider - either people are very 'Meh' about it or they love it. I might move it up in the test order to already this week as now I'm really curious myself. I had planned on doing Leresche #77 and Leresche protoype for the rest of the week but they might have to wait....
I am on the Love side of the divider...I am using Gillette Trac 11 blades in it at the moment but I do prefer the Personna Twin blades in this injector...I have not yet tried Schick Twin blades in the Floating head but its looking to me as being blade sensitive or it could just be me...The Twin blade thing is relatively new thing for me at the moment... Billy...
I was actually thinking about trying out my NOS Schick Twin blades in it...maybe I should just slap a solo blade in for the first run...Hmm.......
I have used the Schick Twin blades in my Schick Adjustable and they are lovely and smooth Sir...The other lads that got these have praised their efficiency and smoothness...I just found the Gillette Twin Trac 11 s a tad less comfortable but these were designed in tandem with a ridicules mild injector in mind... Be a Devil & Lock & Load those twin blades Sir.... Billy
