I have the q ball blade. I don't plan to follow along and will instead get back to my GEM. I can post pictures of the blade I have in the morning. I can say it came in a very generic wrapper similar to the crystal. I do remember that much. I will open it in the morning and get pictures. I look forward to your results and whether it appears to be a rebranded crystal which proved to be a great blade.

I hope the next shave is better. It is a beast of razor, very heavy. I am the opposite and struggle with light razors. The pointy parts to require constant attention and no interruptions.

Back on focus, today's straight razor is PRC Chimera

I just touched this razor and given it is a holiday week I want to get another epic shave. Four passes and just a tickle from the alum and a solid BBS. Not epic but still an excellent shave. For some reason the Chimera feels a notch below my other two PRC razors, still it is a nice shave and looks very cool.

The 1914 worked very well with the PTFE blade. I was really quite surprised. It was a completely different razor. TGIF, hope you got through yesterday alright.

I have really enjoyed using the Mongoose this week and this morning was no exception with another excellent drama free shave. I plan on using the AlumiGoose next week. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

I just got this razor in a trade with a fellow member, so I had to use it. It shaves a lot like my other G, which I just used, but definitely looks cooler. I ended with a BBS again this morning. I was tempted to use some vintage Old Spice, but I went with the modern version, as this is what is currently in the stores. Not quite as nice as the old stuff, but still acceptable. I hope everyone has a great day!

    : Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel splash, Fine American Blend, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Fat Friday! I look forward to Mitchell's on Fridays as a great way to close out the work week. It never fails for terrific lather. Went back to the G1 after a week of shaves with the MMOC. The G1 is smoother and more efficient for me. No nicks, weepers, redness, or other face drama this morning, which is nice! Fine American Blend closed out the deal for a nice shave.

    Have a great day!

La Toja (grated and pressed in bowl)
    Nivea Sensitive ASB

Wonderful shave this morning! The La Toja made a wonderful creamy slick lather and the I2 though not as aggressive as some of the earlier injectors is still quite efficient. Nothing like a great injector shave on a Friday looking forward toward the weekend. Have a great day and and even better weekend my friends!

I posted my thoughts on this over on the SOTD thread. One thing I'm wondering, though, is how the Crystal/Q-ball compares to the Personna "Platinum" which, I think, is not the same blade as the Personna Red/Generic.
