Had a very early shave this morning, as I have to be out of the house by 6am for a meeting a few hours away. Seemed like a good time to pull out the Gentleman ;). I will use the I1 for at least a week. Will use this Twin blade that was in it from the last time I used it until it is dull, and then I'll switch in a new Chick.
Had a pleasant shave with one of my favourite soaps and splashes. 3 passes to a BBS. Great way to start the week!
    Have a great day all!

Cool photo, Jim. Is that the razor's regular case, or is that a travel case?

Thank you, Jason. It is a travel case. I use the head cover Adam made for my DE razors, but this one works my SE razors so I can take them with me.

    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick M adjustable injector
    Brush: Jayaruh #142 black badger
    Lather: Stirling Grapefruit
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Grapefruit aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Nice little Menthol Monday edition with Stirling Grapefruit. Easy menthol effect but cool and refreshing nonetheless. The JR badger whipped up nice lather and the M adjustable was set wide open. Smooth and comfortable shave. Quite enjoyable and a nice way to start the work week.

    Have a great day!

Much better shave today . Puck soaps work much better for me. As for cake soaps(Williams, e.g.), perhaps one brush is more successful than the other, to get better lathering. With my next Williams shave, I'm going to try to remember to do it with the Jayaruh or the Tali Duro Spindle whachacallit. Those are my top two.

With Williams I have found you have to load A LOT and do it slowly. Add tiny bits of water and keep loading. Good lather can be had from Williams but you have to be patient and very intentional about loading.

18 SEptember 2017 Menthol Monday Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Hot, hot water and a hot towel
    Razor: GEM MicroMatic Open Comb
    Blade: TREET Super Single Edge(RiteAid)
    Brush: Omega 6212 Silvertip
Cream: C O Bigelow Premium Shaving Cream
Post: Hot/Cold water rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
After Shave: Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba

Things were a little busy yesterday so I didn't post up the first shave of the new week.
Haven't given much love to to my badger brush lately, so I'm gonna spend the week with my Omega 6212 Silvertip. I won't be using my OS mug, 'cause the handle design makes the brush "clink" off the sides.
For Menthol Monday I went with C O Bigelow. Same great scent as Proraso Green but a lot cheaper(and there's a Bath & Body Works about 15 min. from my house). The 6212 lathered up an almond sized dollop in no time flat(I'll be using my Lenox bowl for the week).
The TREET/MMOC duo did a 4.0 job on the weekday stubble, producing a BBS shave.
Topped everything off with some Proraso Green A/S and it was off to another fun filled week in the wonderful world of corporate security.
Have a great shave, have a great day!

    Great looking razor Brian.

    The King Cobra looks fabulous.

Great photos. The girls brought me some C O Bigelow cream to try. Looking forward to giving it a go.
