Congrats, Randy, on reaching your (current) 11 lb. milestone! Keep going, Brother! :bounce017: :bounce017: :bounce017: :bounce017:

I survived a Labor Day weekend trip without gaining any weight. I consider that to be a small win. I'm down just over 18 lbs. since I started in July.

For tonight's shave, I decided to bust out my sample of Hendrix Classics & Co. Shave Soap. I have to say, this soap lathers really nicely (it doesn't need much water though!) and provides excellent slickness. I don't feel that it provides as much cushioning as my TOBS and Palmolive sticks - I ended up with a few weepers that I don't normally end up with. All in all, another good shave with the Tech/Astra combo. I really loved the smell of the Hendrix stuff too :happy088:

I believe Andrew is correct. The 3 'original' Reserve scents were said to be based on discontinued scents- Cool, Spice and Classic. Cool is based on Floid Blue, Spice is Shulton Old Spice and Classic is Gillette Sun Up.

4th shave of the MMOC focus early this morning. Got back to a 3 pass shave, but not ATG on the neck. Smooth enough + no irritation = decent shave. I hadn't pulled out the Coniferous in quite some time, and I did enjoy the woodsy scent today. Will have to pull this out a few more times this month for sure. I'm not sure the CL matches, but it sure is awesome.
    Have a great day all!

Thanks Perry. Since when do you "need" something to "purchase" something in our hobby? ;)

I stand corrected. BUT, I will say this: I hereby declare that Gillette Sun Up was the ORIGINAL Shulton Old Spice DUPE!

I think @Drygulch may have some vintage Sun Up. Recall seeing some in a shave photo before.

Isn't there a PAA Sun Up dupe as well?

I have the same knot, Joseph, and agree that it is a very nice knot. I extracted it from the handle in came in (sorry butterscotch fans) and put it in one of my own handles. Lots of backbone, but still has a nice face feel. A keeper for sure.

PS- Yes, I saw it, but chose not to respond to the kisser comment...
