I figured you'd have a "comment" about what ...er...."went down" here/ Man, was I embarrassed. As for the procedure, now that I am declared OK to get back to driving, I'll do some errrands today. It'll take a while to regain my strength(especially having done a 2-day clear liquid diet this time). However, emotionally I'm rather upset, annoyed, and worried. I just wish there was a more comfortable way to prepare for it. Thanks for your thoughts, though.

Just shaved with the MMOC that Uncle Screwtape @Screwtape sent to me. All I am saying is WOWZER! That thing is a monster. The way it mows down stubble is crazy, all in all, a pretty good first effort... A few weepers and little neck irritation, but a good close shave.

I found that keeping the head flat to the face on the north-south passes was much easier than south-north. Just something to practise! I'll be on to the Schick that he sent me next... Just want to try them before settling on another rule/focus!

    Thanks John!

Congrats! The MMOC is definitely a beast. I had one for a short while and couldn't get it to cooperate much. Smooth shaving but always some irritation. I ended up selling it. I admire those of you who use it successfully.

I'm not exactly sure I'd call it 'successful usage' :happy108:

    Mike's Barber Shop~~M&F Finest Beehive~~J2 Gillette Tech~~Personna Med Prep~~B&M Cool AS
    Focus Gear: B&M Cool AS
Returned to the barbershop this morning with my FAVORITE barbershop scent: Mike's.

Mike really hit a homer with this soap. His soap base is right there at the top of the pile,
no nonsense marketing; fair prices; Wonderful scents (Vetiver; Pine & Cedarwood; Hungarian Lavender, to name just a few).

Bloomed, loaded a cracklin' good lather, super-hydrated and slick as...well, you know.
I have been hunting for a Varlet Beehive for a few years. I was on the waiting list forever and a day.

THEN the owner (can't recall his name...Aldo?) goes and changes his business plan to resemble the "Paladin" model.
I HATE THESE DROPS. :angry019: What a PITA.
Then, today, after using my M&F Sabini finest, a light went off in my head:
"Primo, you already have one of the best beehives that has ever been produced, you don't need a Varlet!"
And do you know what? I don't. I am "officially" over it.
    :sick013:
I chose a 1964 J2 Tech today. They don't get anymore basic than this razor,
    but with my "advanced"
technique ;) , it matters NOT with what razor I shave,
I can---and most often do, get a wonderful shave.
Today was no exception. Med Prep played its "swan song" and went out like a champ at the top of its game.

Cracked open the last trio of B&M sample AS's and chose the Cool. Definitely the best of the three.
Floïd clone it is not. I pick up some Aqua Velva too. It may be even better than the Floïd Blue...:signs002:
La Bohème premiere tonight...let's see if this tenor can sing the high C at the end of Che gelida manina.

Awesome, Joseph. Even better than Floid? That is sacrilege to some.
La Boheme...fantastic! My tiny little hand is not frozen, so we won't be doing a duet...:)
