Another awesome Hawk shave. Three passes with no blood loss this morning. 6th shave with the blade and I think it is done. It just felt a little tuggy.

I don't know what it is about the Weber Bulldog handle but it has to be my favorite handle in the den. It just feels right in the hand and the knurling is top notch.

I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Great 2 pass shave today on 2 days growth. Not perfect, but definitely better than the last few. Was feeling good about it until I noticed a red dot on my chin with the last swipe. Minor bit of irritation as well. I definitely slowed down, but I think that having 5 shaves on the blade also has something to do with it. Enjoy your day.

    MWF~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~1941 Gillette Ranger Tech~~Malle: The Night
Fat Friday and I am ready for the
    weekend.
Shave today was with some gear that ranks right up at the top in my den for performance.
The '41 Ranger Tech is featherweight after using a Rockwell 6S, but the gap
and geometry work quite well with my face, so I always get a smooth and comfortable shave with it.
I kinda hoard these Gillette 7 O'Clock Blacks. It's my only tuck.
These blades really fit the bill and if you ever come across them, they are worth a second glance.
The Fat was slick. The lather performs best---for me, when I apply the lather to my face and
then, with my hands, work it in as if it were bar soap. This gets ALL the air bubbles out,
which, again imo, it the main cause of dissipating lather.

With a nip in the air before a forecasted heatwave, I went with my favorite oud fragrance.

You are welcome, Danny. I was able to find a site on what the weekly schedule of Marine Boot Camp entails and was able to see a letter on Myles instagram giving some details on the specific dates of the Crucible and and graduation.

Nice shave, Danny. I guess the Bulldog's thick handle makes it easy to hold onto it as well. Enjoy your day.

Excellent shave, Joseph. I have the 7 o'clock PermaSharp (green package) and I find they do a nice job. I am sure the Super Platinums are much better. Take care.

One more day with the Hawk. 3 event free passes with good results. Love the L'Orange Noir as always. The Arkadia isn't quite in its class, imho, but keeps the TdH vibe going.
Thought a bit about what @PanChango and @Primotenore were saying about the width of an AC razor being an issue. I agree partly, but honestly find some GEM style SEs bulkier.
    Have a great day all!

Repeated with yesterday's shave...very satisfied. I would comment that Bill Neumann A.S. is best used in the late fall&winter. The scent doesn't jump out at you until then. However it can be used at any season for its "skin-food" strength. "Skin food" products don't have a favorite season. Course Bill Neumann does include a "summer-only" product for that "jumps out at you" feeling. May try that before next summer.(the soap&A.S.). On that order, I'd get the 4 oz. soap, regular A.S., and would add something else to put me over the "free-shipping". To finish yesterday's and this morning's shave, I did the Mutamayez cologne(House of Swiss Arabian).

    Late morning shave today.
Everything went well. However, the blade was starting to get uncomfortable so it was binned after the final pass. Did 2.5 passes with a BBS minus result due to the blade not being super sharp. At this point, I wanted a comfortable shave without any trouble. One might be tempted to add a little pressure, but that is a no-no. Finished in my usual postshave ritual. Take care.

    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
    Lather: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
    Aftershave: PAA Harvest Moon

A beautiful day here on LI. Probably not hot enough for Joe, @Trigger.

Nonetheless, perfect weather for an early morning X3Bar workout on the patio. I am down to single digits of remaining workouts before the shoulder surgery. :angry017:.
Following a shower, I had a wonderful three pass shave with the Thistle straight. The Jayaruh boar whipped up a nice slick MWF lather. My face feels comfortably smooth and irritation free. The PAA Harvest Moon aftershave provided an excellent finish both in face feel and scent.

Hope you have a great day gentlemen.:eatdrink047:
