Today is day # 800 of my "new" healthy lifestyle. My goal was to reach and maintain 200 lbs, make healthy food choices, exercise most every day, feel good, and see my doc at least once a year. I keep a daily food/exercise log, use a digital scale to weight most of my portions, and weigh myself periodically. On July 23, 2018, I weighed 275 lbs, suffered from extreme sleep apnea, had trouble rising from a sitting position, and felt 30 years older than I do today. This week, I weighed in at 198 lbs., sleep well, move easily, and I feel great. I see my doc next month for my annual physical. About once a week, I have a guilt-free 'party' where anything goes for a meal...then I get back in saddle and keep moving forward. I am inspired by you guys to keep going. I share this because doing so helps me stay accountable.

This is a screen shot from my phone a little after midnight. I had already (roughly) planned my food and exercise for today.

Right, you aren't exactly a fan, as I recall. As I just wrote in Primo's October welcome, I'm beginning to think of a "one soap per week" challenge. Most of my soaps have a huge amount to go before the "blacktop"(bottom)shows. A soap a week could help.

    Good morning guys!

I decided to change it up a bit by bowl lathering. I haven't done it in awhile and since the Maestro switched to facelathering, I might as well do the opposite of my usual lathering method as well. I produced a nice creamy lather as you can see below: 20200930_090147.jpg I only did 2 passes for an IBSS++ without any issues. Splashed on the Stirling Coconut Lime aftershave to end this morning's shave. Have a great day men!

Thank you Joe....the "new appearance" of the Lumberjack didn't change the effect of the shave any. Good :).

Thanks Clint. Theoretically, my daily budget is about 2500 (net after exercise) calories. That turns out to be a little high for me. I've been on a maintenance plan since July 2019, and I've averaged about 2300 calories per day since then. The budget turns out to be a guideline, and I make week-to-week tweaks to stay close to my weight target. I had a lapse earlier this year on a trip where I picked up a few pounds and then recovered once I got home. Interestingly, this summer I lost weight even though I didn't weigh myself, estimated my portion sizes, and was not as strict with my daily logging. I still tried to maintain good eating and exercise habits, and it worked out. Here are some screen shots to explain.
