As others have said; Some aftershaves do show visible separation. Most that need shaking before use will say so somewhere on the label.... Two that I have in mind that definitely need a few shakes before use are: PAA Sundown in witch hazel, you can see the separation like oil and vinegar; and PAA Spring Heeled Jack, a coffee aftershave, you can see particles settled on the bottom of the bottle.
