Sharpness of blades

  1. ahhh! finally someone whos in the same boat as i am. i give the blue a go. im not really concerned about longevity, i was just wondering if it was just me as everyone else seems to stretch blade life out. but like i said...i paid $32 for a 8 pack for my fusion so these blades prices are great compared. cheap like rice :) thankx for your feed back everyone . its much appreciated

    Rob you are dead on with that last statement.

    People who lived in the late 1950s through the 1960s really did not know how much value they were getting when they spent $1.95 - $5 on an adjustable razor. The process of inflation does not even keep pace with these items in today's cost. The real cost, back in that time, was highly subsidized, by Gillette especially, and in reality people got a great value for the razor they received.

    Yep, give away the razor, make a killing on the blades. It's what they're still doing to this day.

    I think there's also sort of a reverse strategy going on.. cheap blade expensive handle lol...
