Absolutely none as tallow would abhorent to the majority Hindu population and lard to the believers of the other sizeable faith - Islam. Any products containing these would lead to social outrage and protests against the manufacturer due to religious sentiments involved. We have strict laws for every Indian product to explicitly list down ingredients. Imported creams / soaps like Tabac and others are available in some stores if you know where to look. I doubt if someone casually picking up Tabac would ever be aware of its Tallow content. I think that shaving would be very restricted to some urban pockets in Pakistan due to perhaps an overwhelming Muslim population which traditionally would keep beards due to religious reasons. Economics of the shave market may perhaps not be conducive to promoting cream manufacturing. I understand even Personnel of their armed forces are allowed to keep beards in adherence to their faith. This is similar to the Sikh faith soldiers in the Indian army. This said, I have read great reviews of Treet blades which come out of there and it is a pity we do not have those coming across the borders.
Cinthol bath soaps rock. Do you use any Dettol toiletries? My GF hates Ivory soap because she says it reminds her of an Indian Hospital, where Dettol scents abound. Where are the Godrej soaps? I see only creams...
^The Godrej soaps = 3 Cinthols on the left The Godrej shave round = bad fotografy = got cut off in the right in the top pic. I only use Dettol liquid soap for hand washing for the same reason as that of your GF - feels like you had a santizing experience with it. The scent is too strong and I can't bring myself to using the soap unless I want to experience the "cleanliness" feel of a hospital.
Hey, where's the old school Cinthol in the red pack?! Though I must say...Cinthol Musk sounds like it would have an awesome scent. Nice, NICE shave den Beyboo. I have many of the same creams you do (with my den divided into Indian and Italian stuff, generally). How's that Morison's after shave? I see the Park Avenue nestled in the back...I still have the PA Royal Musk cream and use it from time to time. One of the best scents I've ever encountered in wetshaving, but I wish the cream had better skincare.
Hey if you coming back soon, do me a favor and pack me a couple of the humble Williams. Would love to lather it !! I've stayed quite a bit in CA, TX and AZ a few years back, wasn't too much in to wet shaving then, *sigh*
Indians tend to do that a lot, world citizens in the land or behind a call center desk sitting in Mumbai or Hyderabad !! happy102
:1respect Whatever little you know is awesome ! :1respect I asked "where are you from". I have read about you being in Israel, you have an awesome shaveden which includes more indian stuff than mine, you are a very interesting person to be Jeff
