Shave of the Week Starting 30 Jan 2023

    Parker 94r
    GSB
    WD Synthetic
    Lea or Palmolive Shave Stick
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Still on my shave stick journey and am going over my thoughts on Lea and Palmolive Shave Sticks. Have used both in the past and just need to try them again. When done with this weeks shave, I plan to do a comparison with my thoughts on each. Anyway, today's shave went ok. Close but not to comfortable. Not sure why but I'll try again tomorrow. Now go enjoy your day folks

Shave of the Week Starting 13 February 2023

    Gillette Fatboy
    EuroMax blade
    AP Shave brush
    TSD 2X Lemongrass SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    TSD 2X Lemongrass A/S

Awhile back I asked the group if Fatboy's were worth the presesnt asking prices. Lots of good replies but thought I should find out for myself. So I got a couple of them and tried one this morning. I have to say that, with this combo of things, I got a superb shave. DFS+ in 2 passes and it was easy and very comfortable. So this one was worth the price on first use, time will tell when I try other blades. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Everything is the same EXCEPT razor. Since I have 2 Fatboys, I used a different one this week. Both are E4's but shave differently. Last week I had to set the razor to 5 to get the desired result. This week, with all the same products, I had to set the razor to 4 to get the desired result. Setting this weeks razor to 5 was uncomfortable. Go figure. However, both are doing well.

    Henson +++ razor
    Astra SP blade
    Maggard Purple Swirl Synthetic brush
    Blues Shave Soap
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Very nice shave to start the week. The Blues SS lathered easily and provided great protection. Smells nice too. The Henson is such an easy razor to use, at least for me it is. Nice, close and comfortable shave which is what we're all looking for. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Tried to load pic but for some reason can't . Sorry about that.

Shave of the Week Starting 6 March 2023

    Schick E3 razor
    Personna blade
    Shave Revolution Brush
Mama Bear Lime Ice Shave Stick
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Long time since I've used one of my injectors. Shame on me cuz they really work well. Going to run through my Shave Sticks again, make notes this time, and then post my comments on them later. But as for today/this week, all the items worked well together and a fine fine shave was had. And the Lime Ice Shave Stick has a REAL menthol kick, like it lots. At any rate my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Shave of the Week Starting 3/13/2023

    Pearl Blaze razor
    Euromax blade
    Lea Shave Stick
    LaToja Shave Stick
    Plisson/L'Occitane brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Giving myself choices this week by alternating Shave Sticks. Started with the LaToja and it worked well. Easily lathered and gave nice face feel when the shave completed. I know the Lea better having used it more often and it works above its price point for me. Looking forward to a week of great shaves. If it doesn't work, I'll let you know. But for now, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Shave of the Week Starting 3/20/2023

    Parker Variant razor
    Treet 7 Days blade
    PAA Synthetic brush
    Mama Bear's Raspberry Shave Stick
    Nivea Shave Steak
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Another week with shave sticks and another week or alternating use. Started with the Mama Bear Raspberry one. Terrific scent but that was about it. Didn't get a very good lather. Maybe the brush had an impact so I'll try an AP Shave cashmere one tomorrow.. Anyway, it's a start. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Treet 7 Days blade
    Whipped Dog Synthetic brush
    Speick Shave Stick
    Palmolive Shave Stick

Another week of alternating shave sticks. Started with the Speick, got a fine lather and a smooth comfortable shave. Like the scent of the Speick as well. I've used the Palmolive before and kinda figure I know what to expect there. The Gillette/Treet combo is very nice as well, smooth/comfortable/effective which is what I was looking for. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    TSD 2x Iced Lemongrass A/S

Brrr......This TSD SS is frickin' frigid!! And it works very well indeed. The 78r is a really really fine razor for me, smooth/comfortable/effective and works great with the Euromax blade. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Gillette Red Tip razor
    Astra SP blade
    AP Shave Co brush
    Dr Selby 3x Shave Cream
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Assorted A/S

The Red Tip/Astra combo is a good one for me, smooth/comfortable/effective. I like it. Love the Dr Selby SC, it should actually be called a soap I think. At any rate, it works great, lathers easily, gives excellent protection and my face feel just fine when the shave is completed. Not a fan of this particular brush, may change it this week. Anyway, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

    Weber DLC razor
    Gillette 365 blade
    Whipped Dog Synthetic brush
    Williams Mug Soap
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Can't beat a shave with Williams SS, at least that's the way I feel about it. All the parts liked each other and a fine shave was had. The Weber DLC razor seems to be a rare thing now but mine works great. Think I'll keep it. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Gillette New razor
    Astra SP blade
    JR #85 brush
    Seaforth SS (vintage)
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Assorted A/S

Truly love the vintage Seaforth. For me, the current Seaforth! offerings don't hold a candle to the Vintage Seaforth. Not that the current offerings are lacking, they're not. In fact, I have 4 of them and enjoy using them. Just a personal thing. At any rate, my face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
