OK thanks-I'm not much of an eBAY guy, but maybe I'll reconsider. Ironically, I just put in an order on Poshmark. I don't care to be a Poshmark freak, it's what I ordered that was the important thing-two Rise Shave Foams. Imade a larg Rise order soon after I joined....not the old-school Rise, but it wasn't far off.

Shave of the Week Starting 7/29/2024

    Weber DLC razor
    Gillette 7 O'clock blade
Dr. Selby SC (it's a soap)
    No Name Synthetic brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Right dandy shave to start the week. The Weber/Gillette combo is super smooth and effective. The Dr. Selby has nice scent/lathers easily and well and I just like it. The No Name brush is a really nice one, feels good in hand and works well indeed. So, all in all, a great way to get the week started. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    • Pre-Shave Tricare Goats Milk

    • Cream Jack The Barber - Sandalwood
    • Post Shave Thayers Witch Hazel - unscented
    • Aftershave Brut Splash
    • Balm Nivea – Sensitive Post Shave Balm
    The Morning Shave.

Not quite a morning shave today, closer to afternoon.
After a long walk with Poppy an American Bulldog a shower & shave was a welcome refresh.

The Gillette Minora Stainless was in my 1961 Gillette Adjustable FatBoy today.
3rd use on this blade, full head & face shave.

The Jack the Barber cream whipped into a very soft creamy lather with plenty of protection.
The shave was effortlessly smooth with no weepers.
The Sandalwood scent is quite mild. It was a little hot out today, so decided on the Thayers Facial Toner. Very refreshing post shave.

Shave of the Week Starting 19 August 2024

    Baili BD131 razor
    Rainbow Stainless blade
    JR#85 Brush
Mama Bear's Lime Ice Shave Stick
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

This little razor has a lot of blade feel to me but worked rather well. And while looking through my stash, I found a bunch of Rainbow blades that I had evidently forgotten about. That's a shame since they work well for me. All the other parts liked each other and a very nice shave was had. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

I have some "No-Name" items I work with(perrhaps you've seen me list them in my shave reports).

Shave of the Week Starting 9/16/2024

    Weber DLC razor
    Silver Star blade
    WD Synthetic brush
    Thor's Hammer Shave Soap
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Thor's Hammer A/S

I evidently have to much free time and was perusing ETSY when I came across the Thor's Hammer products. Had seen the A/S on a couple of posts and was intrigued. So I went ahead and puchased the soap and after shave. In the first outing it was good. The soap lathered easily and gave a very nice lather that provided good cushion and glide with a great scent. The A/S was soothing and also had a great scent. We'll see how the rest of the week goes but indications are that it will be good. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Gillette Fatboy razor
    Suneko blade
    APShave Co brush
    Azalea City Suds SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Various A/S

Once again I must have to much time on my hands cuz I was perusing ETSY again and came across the Azalea City Suds site. Looked at the formula and thought it looked good and ordered some. Got the Iconoclast scent (which is really nice) and tried it this morning. Not to shabby either. Have to work on my water/soap ratio but got a pretty good lather. The brush is new with a cashmere knot and I love the cashmere knots. So a nice shave was had and ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Razor - Colonial CR7
    Blade - GSB
    Brush - APShaveCo via TRC
    Cream - Lea Menthol
    Balm - Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    A/S - Various

Colonial Razors have recently released the CR7 and just had to have one. It's available with 3 different base plates and I got all 3. Started with #1 base plate which is the mildest and it is very very mild for me. The shave was good but had to do an extra pass and lots of touchup. I usually do a 2 pass shave with minimal touchup. So I think plate #1 is not for me so will go with #2 tomorrow and see how it goes. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    Razor.......Colonial CR7 Plate #3
    Blade.......GSB
    Brush......TRC
    Soap.......Yardly
    Balm......Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    A/S........Various

Last week I used the Colonial CR7 with Plates #1 and #2. Plate #1 was nice and comfortable but far too mild for me. Plate #2 was more efficient but still comfortable. This week will be Plate #3 chance. First shave with it shows it to be far more efficient but not quite as comfortable for me. Not that its bad, just not as mild/comfortable as Plates 1 and 2. I'll use it this week and then try to decide which plate is best for me. But my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

I think I have the Colonial CR7 figured out cuz today's shave was pretty darn nice. Also decided to try out some Stirling samples so I can explore different scents. Stirling Soaps are really very nice and I got a great lather. The scent, or lack thereof, was a bit disappointing but the performance was great. So, all in all, a nice start to the week. My face is content. Now go enjoy your day folks
