    sink of cool water
    vie-long brush soak
    mug w/vasmol shaving cream
    presoaked puck of williams
    gem contour
    treet SE 2nd use
    master checker flag a/s

I have been having a hankerin to bust out the se .so here it is.
loaded up the vie-long with williams
built up a nice mug of lather with the vasmol
    did 2 passes
    cool water rinse
    a/s application
as a note the vasmol has the palmolive shave cream laundry detergent scent of old.if you miss it buy a tube of this and it is pretty good by itself

    jimjo1031 never bloomed myself

Had my first shave with Williams and I liked it. Thick and rich lather with plenty of glide. Left my skin silky smooth...............

Today was seven straight days with Williams-----I don't think my face could possibly get any softer feeling!! I also use SE's everyday, this past week has been hard on my bottle of AV! Have been breaking in my Jayaruh 304 boar brush, this 30MM knot is really nice and soft after two weeks of shaves.

this is a late entry for Williams Wednesday
    sink of cool water
    presoaked Williams puck
large coffee mug filled w/hot water and the no name chinabrush soaking in it while I was prepping
face wash with soap and cool water x3
splash of Stephans Bay Rum on top of the Williams puck
loaded up brush and beat out a mug of lather
Atomic DE razor w/fresh Derby blade
2 passes and a touch up
    cool water rinse
followed up with Stephans Bay Rum and a bit of Avon lather added.

I had a hankerin to break out the Atomic razor so I did.I think it is a fine razor ,some disparage it.But I get consistent DFS with it.
I had been thinking about the Bay Rum-Avon leather mix.Which turned out to be a disappointment. The bay scent faded rather quickly and toned down the leather scent a lot.

Something I wouldn't have thought of. I'll leave the Stephan BR to the post-shave. I like that BR...would like to get another bottle sometime.

Broke out the homemade Williams shave stick and a micromatic. Awesome shave showed up as usual. This is probably my second favorite setup.

No. Williams Mug Soap has very little scent, and what it does have just smells like soap...

That's comforting to know. I've always thought it's like arko.

On the other hand, very few Williams Top Holder Shave Sticks from the 1930s still have a slight Rose scent if you can find them. While most of the Williams Shave Sticks do not have a scent either... But that is a different Williams animal...

If you get around to using this soap, make sure to bloom it first. The longer that you bloom it the better it will be. So much easier to get a great lather after it has bloomed.

Bad news. It didn't go so well.

The lather was too thin and disappeared after a minute or so. Relathering did not help. It was too dry and I could feel the blade gliding across my skin. I even nicked myself below my earlobe due to lack of cushioning.

So after a pass I had to finish up with my godrej cream on 2nd pass.

    My setup:
    Gillette black beauty razor
    Gillette platinum blade 4th use
    Omega 10051 boar

On the plus side, my black beauty is like the smoothest razor I've used so far.
