A quick question.....Does Williams Cream count towards a Williams Wednesday? I have a mentholated tube en route.
I would think so. Fuzzy uses all kinds of different Williams shave soaps for his Williams Wednesday. What say you @wchnu ?
Technically no, however that being said, I see no issue with it, so long as you at least have a puck of the actual Williams and use that was well.
I suppose, but Fuzzy has used a Williams Stick. That's not a mug soap. So does this open things up to all soaps and creams that are Williams? Figure we still need Fuzzy to weigh in on this one.
The astute amongts us will note that he used the puck to make the stick, and the vintage stick was produced by Williams.
That mug was a gift. There are several people that are having them made through walmarts photo shop. They run around 10 bucks I think. I am going to start a thread across the street for them. I do not kn0w who is making that cream. The only vintage Williams cream I have seen is a brushless. I have not been able to find any of the modern cream. Eggggzacalllyyy right. Someone needs to find this out. If it is made by the maker of the Williams cakes or licensed to them it would be admissible. If it is just using the name but has no link to the good stuff then probably not.
I will check the packing when it arrives.....but it is sold by a dealer who sells Aqua Velva and specialises in Spanish products. He was my source of my Williams AS. I suspect it is Spanish made
I do know that there was a close relationship between the vintage Williams and Aqua Velva. On the inside flap of the packaging, it is suggested to try Aqua Velva, so it is very possible that the two companies, while not directly related may have shared a close working relationship.
williams soap is just that. if williams should improve? would like to see the vintage formula that everyone likes come back..
unfortunately no, but hearing everyone rave about it, it must be a better product.. i could be wrong of course..i would try the cream if it came here..
Replying to myself. My cream arrived today and it is yet another flavour....made by Unilever ....but it looks as if it is primarily for the French Market
Unilever owns Brut too I think. I sent a email to Combe to see what they say. Feel free to post shaves with it until we get an answer.
It is better I agree. Although nothing wrong with the newer stuff too. I need to see if I can somehow cut samples of a cake of the vintage stuff. @Primotenore have you ever tried making samples of a vintage cake.?
