I know Combe gets a cut. I think Unilever purchased the rights or leases them. I'll look at the labels when I get off of work tonight.
Unilever told me once they are not associated with Combe. I am not sure I can find that email though. Still fun though. Are the products good?
Unless they out and out purchased the rights years ago, they legally have to give Combe a cut. Same as Gillette and Edgewell get a cut of the Wilkinson Sword/Gillette blades in India. International business can get hairy. The way companies do it helps them avoid taxes. If you ever want to go down a rabbit hole check out who owns Dunlap. No one knows who really owns them, or where they are really based out of. Pretty weird. The Williams Shave products were great. The cream was almost as good as the US Soaps, with a bit of Menthol. The Aqua Velva is a little weaker than the US version, but still nice and refreshing. The 5 in 1 Balm just edges out the Eur Balm. I got these on sale downtown Erbil about a year ago. Talking three bucks all in. The US versions, in my opinion, are better than the Eur versions. Not by much, but better.
Once again. Williams Wednesday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Williams Mug Soap Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Gillette New Improved Gillette Silver Blue CWR Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Improved razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
