My friend, Mayberry was a fictional town set in North Carolina. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayberry The show was really attempting to go to seek the better nature in people which has for the most part (not all) been sadly missing in entertainment since that time.
Andy Griffith is still one of my favorite shows. Even tough I have all of the episodes on DVDs, I still watch it several times a week on TV Land. I've always admired the producers for keeping Floyd's part going after Howard McNear suffered his stroke. It's still a better show than most of the new garbage on TV now, in my opinion.
Howdy! I remember when a shave was $0.50; however, it went up to $0.75 and then $1.00 later on. Now shaves and haircuts can be expensive in some places. A year or so ago a shave went for $17.00 in NYC. Might as well be $20.00 with the tip for great service. Always, Gene
I think AoS in Las Vegas charges 65 or 70. When T&H had a standalone at Cesar's Forum, they charged something in that neighborhood too. IIRC, that is. The AoS shave was quite nice, but I went back to my hotel bloody from T&H.
Given the prices for stuff today I'm not sure I'd want a $.50 shave if someone offered it to me LOL! Hmm, trying to imagine the pain of a $.50 shave... Now that I think about it, that may not be something I want to think about after all.
