I only use KMF mint cream $4 for 11 ounces and Trader Joe's unscented cream $3 for 8 ounces and they work great. No reason to try anything else.
I'd say it's simple in my world: creams for a quick great shave, soaps for when you have a little more time for a great shave. That's how I roll... :happy069
IMO both provide excellent close shaves. Soaps last longer and provide more shaves. Creams are less messy and feel more luxurious on the face. After using both have settled on creams. Some of my favorites are the Italian Palmolive and Noxzema. IMO it would be very difficult for any soap to top these two creams for closeness and skincare.
my friend, have you tried Palmolive stick? It seems that you love the cream, just wait to try the stick...
What he said...almost. I do find that, for me, the scent's the thing. Most of the soaps and creams I have tried (30? 40? lost count ) are pretty much the same - except for the scent. Umm, Foamy is an awesome substiture for MWF!! Ugghh! (JayKay notwithstanding) And I can't seem to make myself buy a product called "Nancy Boy". :happy102
I think I prefer creams over soaps, as the only real soap I have used was as mentioned above dried before I had finished. However, I have had success with Crema Sapone Cella (not keen on the smell - like off Marzipan) and Wilkinson Sword and Erasmic soaps - which maybe classed as soft soaps????
No. Its a soap. Convince me to try it. My only remaining soap is Cella which I am still figuring out the proper water ratio.
Used several soaps and several creams, I find that creams lather up better than soaps do and allow me to get a closer shave and since I am looking for the ultimate shave this is what I am tending towards these days.
