    Cant say I've done a side-by-side comparison. Linen is smoother, softer than canvas—and most of my strops have a linen component; except for the Illinois which has the canvas impregnated with zinc oxide.

    As do I. Sometimes all brass, sometimes all stainless. It good to mix it up now & then... ;)
