I invited a friend, a photographer himself, during the holidays and I demonstrated him the possibilities HDR offers. We shot random trite stuff and tried to make something out of them.

Thanks, I like how the trees look fake. We also had a version with the correct white balance, but we preferred the orange tint of the lampposts.

I’m happy with that shot. 10mm, f/4, 52s manual exposure, manual WB. It was a darky dark night.

Joe, I just love how you captured a good chunk of the spectrum in that shot!

Edit: Sorry, this with respect to the sunset picture on the first page.

I really like your lighthouse photo, Yukio! Wide angle lenses make things look so dramatic. Excellent shot!

Thank you Klaus! I'm back from my vacation in Northern France. That shot was taken in Offenburg, Germany, though the location doesn't really matter for that kind of photograph.

Yukio, what programs do you use for photo editing? I'm sure its been asked before and I've just missed the answer. They look very digitized and well rendered. I like the look. Are you individually editing each photo or are you using pre-set effects? I like it. Its a good way to spiff up pictures. Looks very "Hollywood".

Photomatix, Photoshop, no filter, patience. ;)
Edit: no filter, except yesterday's DDoD.
