    I have two of each. One is actually my birth quarter as well........"B's" One of the Red Tips is case and original blades as well.

    Just got my first "Birth Year" Razor its a 1964 (J4 my Quarter as well ) Gillette Slim Adjustable. Shaved with it once so far (loved it by the way set on #8) but getting ready to send it off to Razor Emporium for a good cleaning and a nice Rhodium Finish. Then I intend to use it a lot !!     Very nice!
    The slim is also my birth razor and just like you I find the ideal setting to be at 8.
