Single ring id

    Hello, it looks like the first character in the serial number is a (B). That would place it around 1909 or 1910. The serial number is on the inner shaft.

    I agree on the inner tube. It just looks like a P. Maybe it is faded as well. There are no other markings on it at all except the pat nov 15 04

    It was common for the serial numbers struck on the inner tube to be only partially struck. There are many example s of this. Besides, a (P) would indicate a serial number that would have been put on a comb guard. The serial numbers were not put on the inner barrel any longer after 1913 or around then.

    Here is the serial number range for single rings made in 1910. B222221-B697600. In 1909 serial numbers on some SR began appearing on the razor head instead of the barrel. However based on your razor it appears that this change over did not include all razors. A nice acquisition.
