Slant Purchase

Ok, I've decided that Im going to purchase a SLANT .....I want to see what all the talk is about.


I definetly want a LONG handle razor. Which one do you think I should buy. I was looking at the Merkur 39c...dont know any other good brands that sell a long handle SLANT.

The 39c is a fine choice in a slant.

 

Good Luck!! I hope you get a better(less irritating) shave with your Slant than I did with my 37C.

You should watch the NickShaves video on the Slant Vs Open Comb Beard off. I would suggest the Cadet OC style razors if you want something that aggressive. The slant literally decimated me . But, the Cadet OC is my daily driver, and is fantastically efficient and aggressive and smooth.

Its not your typical twist type slant, but it's very effective and smooth IMO.

 

I owned a Merkur 39C for a bit and gave it away as a PIF. I just found it to be too aggressive.

Same here. Mine literally tore parts of my face off that no razor has ever done before. Minefield of weepers on my cheek under my sideburns. What the hell. I couldn't figure out how to shave best with it or align it best, so I stick to my trusty Cadet OC which is the most efficient and fantastic razor I've ever used.
