This is one of those posts where I feel that I have NO idea what to say - especially it ends with a joke and smile. Do I say "Cheer up things will get better"? Feels and sounds very trait. Do I offer/send prayers and/or best wishes? Sure but that's also a bit intangible and for all I know Mr Dapper may be a die-hard atheist I guess, in lack of better words: "You're young and will bounce back, now snap out of it!" Sounds like something my dad would say - so I'll go with that Then again, he also told me to set those crawfish traps riiiight where there was a big sink hole when I was like 8 years old. So who knows.
Darkbulb, I am in fact atheist/apathist but I always leave room for everyone's belief. I accept prayers and whatever else anyone else offers because it's ultimately them wishing for the best in my life because they care. I love my TSD family. All of you guys. I appreciate the consul you offer. Oh...and... We have some pretty cool razors
I'm a breeze right now y'all. Floating through and riding it out. It's a new start. The only direction I have is wherever I go now. Well... Leif and I
Ok Brent. The job you were burned out. Not a problem, you'll find another one that'll make you happier. Get back on track with the ones you love, and the ones that love you. NOW. Tax return? I have no idea what you mean? Car. See tax return. Clean shaven. Good job!
I have to wait for the return... It's been over a month and the money is going to her account but she's promised me half. I have a car waiting on the money!!!
Brent, Obviously I don't know what's going on, and I respect its a private matter. If at any way you and the wife can get past whatever it is I'd suggest you do. I remember all the happy post of you and her and Leif. A family unit is something that should be kept intact if all possible. Kerry
You have your family, and that is really all you need. When you get older you will look back on these days with a smile.:rah:
That's the best reason I can think of to pray for him. Mark 2:17: On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." I'm glad you are open to people praying for you. I have a few friends in the same boat, and over the years they have come to realize that it is so much more than just well wishing. Whether you believe it now or not, there is POWER in prayer, and know that a few of us here will take some time to say some special ones for you today.
Whatever you lose: don't lose your sense (any more than when you started wet shaving and visiting TSD ), keep your loved ones close, try and find happiness and humor in small things. And stay off the booze. An Dutch saying for ya: when the booze is in the man, the wisdom is in the jug. Hang in there and tickle that little guy of yours! It may take a while, but you will get there, matey! Amen to that!
