+1 I use this now that I'm growing my hair out to about 1" long instead of the regular 1/4" length. Provides great control, doesn't dry out & flake like most gels, and if you use more than a pea but less than an almond you'll get some shine out of it. Only complaint, it's a little hard to wash out. Usually wash my hair twice, then condition. btw, C&E shampoo w/jojoba is pretty d*&n good stuff. Been using it about a week and it's noticeably improved my hair.
Kiehl's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo then Pashana Original Hair Lotion or Pashana Eau de Portugal Hair Lotion and sometimes Kiehl's styling gel
my latest routine: shower and towel dry hair. Brylcreem and hot air dry. Murrays Pomade and hot air style. Fingers thru to shape.
I've meant to try this. I'll pick some up tomorrow. I'd also like to try a few Giovanni and American Crew products. edit: I'm also not shy about trying more expensive products, so Korres and Phillip B are also on my list. edit again: I went for the American Crew leave-in Conditioner -- best hair purchase ever
Once in awhile, conditioner, otherwise nothing. I'm mostly bald, but there is enough on top to comb when I let it get that long (which isn't often). When I had hair I used DEP gel and/or whatever mousse I could get (which worked, but I hated and I didn't do for long), then I switched to Consort Hair Spray for Men (which I loved).
Walgreen's hair tonic, and a comb. But only when it's long enough to comb, which is only for a week or so every couple of months.
I've been using the Pashana brillantine and Murrays Pomade lately. I hate mineral oil in bodycare-products, but for some reason I love it in Brillantine and Pomade Pashana is very light, gives a great shine and has a nice scent as well. Murrays pomade is... well, a classic
ha, I used to use Murray's all the time -- its just too tacky (meaning adhesive, not gaudy ha ha) for my needs these days
American Crew Pomade is hands-down the best stuff I have ever used. It's not too sticky, makes your hair shiny and the smell is Fab. It's kinda spendy but lasts a long time. I had serious 80's hair and have tried everything over the years... this rules.:happy096
I stopped using any styling product about 3 years ago, I shampoo, do my hair with my fingers. I like my hair short, it is easy.
Loreal Clean Gel. Yeah, it's marketed for women, but it's cheap, has almost no scent and it works for me.
I have to concur with Mike, the Pinaud Styling Gel rocks. I never used to like wearing any kind of styling gel but this one is holds very well and doesnt hurt my hair like other stuff.
