I like mechanical watches, and the first forum I joined was a watch forum. Being clever and very original, I wanted my forum name to be "wristwatch." I made a typo during my registration, and a trailing "b" found its way onto my forum name. It bugged me for awhile, but I've grown to like it. It reminds me not to take myself seriously. I've since joined other forums using the same name. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
20 some odd years ago, when I first started having to pick a screen name I wanted to use my first initial and last name, but of course that was taken and the server kept trying to add a string of numbers that I would never remember. I looked around and saw my Smith and Wesson .357 lying on the desk and tried that. It worked and I've used it since, even though I sold that gun years ago and don't currently own a .357.
Greetings, Chris! I never heard of Tapatalk until I read your post. I did a quick Google search and found it. I registered, but I have no idea how it works or how to use it, lol.
It's simply an app that allows access to TSD and many other forums, all from one application home screen, pretty much just an aggregator of forums. If you are viewing TSD over a web browser, my name appears below every post. I didn't know if you could see my signature, tapatalk won't show it.
Sorry, Chris, but I'm not the most tech-savvy person. I can see your name at the bottom of your posts, but I'm still not seeing how to get to Tapatalk from anything in your posts, and I can't figure out how to find anything related to TSD on Tapatalk. We're getting a little OT here, so I'll send you a PM here at the forum.
First initial then last name - but it our secret. My stage picture that's really me. The guy that was on Dragnet was my twin but we no longer speak.
PLAla is P for my first name Perry, L for my last name Lawley, and Ala for Alabama, my home state and where I still live. Cool thread! Glad it's still going.
If you are viewing the forum on a mobile phone, switching to the wide view (by turning the screen/phone sideways) will show the forum signatures.
Several years ago I made a character for an online game (EVE online) and named him Erik Redd. My real name is Paul Haase, but noone can remember how to spell Haase, even though it's only got five letters. It's commonly spelled as Hasse, and I have to tell people there's no "ass" in Haase. Sometimes they disagree.
