Well rick I tried to start this as 'game' thread like board games.. but video games are always big too.
Sorry to break you two up. I enjoy Chess, poker, and sit at the blackjack tables when in Vegas. I play online at chess.com (Troutbum) if anyone wants a game.
Man, I miss Vegas. I love Babary Coast. Haven't been in a few years... We should have a convention....
Board Games: We've been playing Sorry a lot lately. Video Games: Wii Sports Wii Mario Kart PS2 Guitar Hero Aerosmith (Rocks!)
games... Living down the road from a hobby store + working in the desolate north for work from time to time (no tv, no women, no alcohol) you play a lot of board/card games... I like: -Briscola (italian trick taking game, best played with a spanish/italian deck) -Euchre (seems to be an Ontario game only in Canada) -Battleline (sort of trick taking game, good) -Beer Money (the lady keeps getting the freaking tequilia bottle and KILLING me with it, sigh) for board, I'm a sucker for a good game of Hive or Yinsh (think checkers on steroids crossed with connect four, except it's connect five). Carcassone gets the odd play as well.
Carcassone's awesome. Been years since I played it. Board games we play: scrabble illuminati- an absolutely hilarious card game. video games I play: Master of Orion II Don't have time for anything else.
I love chess, but rarely get to play unless it's against the Chessmaster program. I've tried playing online, but I must be choosing the wrong places to play because I either get beat easily, or wind up playing jerks. I have had a few nice games online, but they have been the exception. I do play LIFE with the kids once in awhile. We have a large collection of board games, I just can't wait until the kids get old enough to play them with (kids are 7, 4, and 1). I love golf, but usually only get to play the Links computer game. Such is life.
